Terms of sale

These terms divide responsibility between the house and the buyer. A WhatsApp quote is the offer. The website is a lookbook, not a cart.

  1. 1. Who we are

    This storefront is operated by Gucheng Yuemei Department Store, Shop 3, Bailong Shengshi South, Xianghe Road, Xianghe Subdistrict, Gucheng District, Lijiang, Yunnan, China. Email: Leer476532@outlook.com. WhatsApp is the house desk.

  2. 2. Prices on the site

    Prices in US dollars are indicative. They describe a specification, not a checkout total. Freight, insurance, duties, taxes and any custom cut are extra unless the quote says they are included.

  3. 3. The offer

    The binding offer is the written quote in WhatsApp (SKU, specification, quantity, packing, lead time, Incoterm, freight). Silence, a website click, or an unfinished chat is not an order. The buyer accepts by confirming the quote in the same thread and paying as stated.

  4. 4. Payment

    Payment terms are in the quote. Work does not start, and a crate is not reserved, until funds clear. The buyer is responsible for bank charges on their side. We do not take card data on this website.

  5. 5. Title and risk

    Title to the goods passes when we receive full payment. Risk in the goods passes when the crate is handed to the carrier named in the quote, unless the quote states another Incoterm. After that hand-over, loss or delay in transit is a matter for the carrier and the cover written in the quote.

  6. 6. Lead time and packing

    Lead time starts after payment clears and, for custom foil or initials, after artwork is approved in writing. We pack as a gift crate. The packing list in the thread is the record of what should be in the box.

  7. 7. Inspection

    The buyer must inspect the outer carton and the crate on arrival, before discarding packing. Transit damage, a missing piece, or a SKU that does not match the quote must be photographed in the crate and sent on WhatsApp within 7 days of delivery. After that window we may still help, but we are not obliged to replace.

  8. 8. Returns

    Returns and exchanges follow the house returns page. Unopened, unused crates may be returned within 7 days. Used glass, washed glass, and custom cuts made to the buyer’s drawing are not returnable unless we mis-cut them. Return freight on a change of mind is the buyer’s unless the quote says otherwise.

  9. 9. What the house is not liable for

    We are not liable for: duties and taxes at destination; carrier delay after hand-over; chips from stacking or dishwashers; colour variation under different light; or consequential loss (missed events, hotel openings, lost profit). Our total liability for a shipment is limited to the goods value on that quote.

  10. 10. Law

    These terms are governed by the law of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes are first taken up in the original WhatsApp thread. If they cannot be closed there, they are submitted to the courts at the operator’s place of business.
